International Yoga Day, also known as World Yoga Day, is celebrated annually on June 21st. Established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2014, this day highlights the significance of yoga in promoting holistic health and well-being. The initiative was proposed by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing yoga’s potential to foster harmony between mind and body. Each year, various events, yoga sessions, and workshops are organized worldwide to mark the occasion. As part of the Yoga Day, Pallotti Hill Public School conducted school assembly for the students. The Instructor of Yoga , Ms Usha addressed the students and delivered a speech about the importance of Yoga in our lives. Then several Yoga postures were practiced by the students. The Yoga Day celebration ended with the vote of thanks by Ann Mariya of Grade IX.
